Hi, all! I'm new to this forum, but have been into classics for many years and haunt a couple of other ones. We are a truly diverse family - along with a couple of Brand "C" cars, we have a '68 Mustang convertible that we've owned for several years. It's in nice original condition, but I've now decided to freshen it up a bit (mostly cosmetics).
One of the things I've never liked about the car is that it's a 3-speed (289). I just bought a RUG-E2 4-speed, but don't have a shifter yet. Since originals are kinda' hard to come by and not the greatest, I'm thinking about a Hurst Indy or Comp plus. Will these work without cutting any sheetmetal? Can they be used with my original shifter boot?
Thanks for your input!

) hasn't swapped on a different housing. The Indy shifter will be the closest fit I think. You can look up what Hurst now offers for your car on their site and order whatever they offer from Summit Racing. David Kee also offers anything you'll ever need for it as well, his site address is:
