Hi,

Relatively new to the boards and I live in good ole' Saint Helens, OR. Thought I might stop by and introduce myself to yawl.

I have a 1999 GT and I'm itching to finally mod her out after nearly 5 years and 48K of miles of road behind us stock. I'm still debating whether to get the new 05' or wait a year and see what Ford does with the SVT and Mach 1 line ala "Cammer 5.0" engine. I think I will wait for that wee beastie to get inside.

In the mean time until the "Cammer" appears I will persevere to mod my 5 years young 99 GT.

Ok so far I have purchased the Diablo Sport Tuner and put in the default tune.
Purchased a Mac CAI and will be putting that in this week. (Wish that the intake tube was ceramic grrrrrrr)

Next purchase plan:
• Dragon – Plenum
• BBK or Accufab 75mm throttle body
• Under Drive Pulleys – Steeda

I want to stay normally aspirated (NA) but I realize it’s going to be killa expensive to port and polish my stock PI heads meaning labor is going to be fierce. I heard one quote that said 4K for labor on that job. Good LORD! A freaking new engine is cheaper then that!

Goal:
• Reach 300rwhp
• Trash the stock WRX’s and Lancer EVO’s out there

Help:
I need any help or hints on finding a fantastic shop to do work that I can’t do. I can do most simple stuff pulleys bolt-ons etc…but I’m a novice and may need some mentoring. I would really like to sign up at a local automotive college to get some real hands on.  I’m a computer programmer by trade so getting back to manual work is extremely satisfying for me.

I will send pic’s of the little lady when I figure out how to upload on this forum.

Thank you all for your time reading my intro.

Sincerely,

Eric Cotter

Thanks!

I'm calling around to see how much it's going to cost me to CNC port my stock heads....heheheh

Tyler are you still using your stock Diablo Tune? I just installed mine on Friday. I left it stock for now. Any mods you recommend on the stock Diablo Tune?

Actually I haven't messed with mine just yet so I don't have any advice for you ... yet. Once I fiddle with it, I'll let you know how it goes. I've seen a few of your threads on the 4.6L forum and the common quest for 300rwhp N/A.

The dyno numbers in my sig are before the Diablo. I purchased my Diablo the other day. :nice:

Welcome to stangnet. There is a shop in Vancouver,Wa called All Ford Performance and also Blue Oval Performance. All Ford is the service (parts install) and Blue Oval is Parts. Jeff runs All Ford and Chung runs Blue Oval. They are both in the same building. Most of the ppl on here have heard of both places and have got work done there.

All Ford Performance-(360)-993-1740
Blue Oval Performance-(360)-993-1745
