sorry for posting this again but i know u guys are the best on the net and i cant find any good info on a good combo so here it goes.


Hey guys i have a 351 windsor bored .40 over i want to do a HCI swap soon and i was wonder whats some opinions on the best for the best price, i would like to run high 11s to low low 12's all motor

heres whats done to my car as of now subtract the 280 solid lift cam.
13.6@103.92 is my best time


Specs: MSD 6AL ignition. Holley electric fuel pump with regulator and fuel pressure gauge. Autometer monster tach with shiftlight. Hurst short throw shifter. Brand new SVO 410 gears. bbk shorty headers. h-pipe. Flowmaster mufflers. Lakewood lower control arms.car is frame connected and also has driveshaft loop



Bored 40 over, flattop pistons, Comp Cams 280s solid lift cam 1970 351 Windsor heads, fully polished and ported, new valves, springs, locks, rollertip rockers, guide plates, hardened pushrods. Holley street dominator single plane intake.

Holley 750 dual feed double pumper carb. 5 speed trans. Ford KING COBRA SVO clutch. Hays fully adjustable clutch cable.

Autometer Oil Pressure and water tempature gauges in dual Pillar Pod

i think he ran on drag radials or street tires for that run

slicks will get you into the very low 13's

dont want NOS, i wanna run all motor i have an idea what to get but some input would help alot anyone

come on guys i jsut got my pogie they owned me 4 cheques i got 2300 dollars burning a hole in my pocket... i dont wanna waste it on the wrong setup!!!

Im pretty sure slicks Could get you into the high 12's. Ryan stop telling people what to do at the track when you have no experience.

One thing you didnt mention is how much you have to spend, that is going to be the main factor in picking out a hci.

id start with a edelbrock air gap intake. 650-750 holley double pumper. what size valves are in those heads? if theyre fully ported and polished, check into having larger valves put in. dont know much about solid lift cams, im running a hydraulic lunati .498 lift in my 347. specs out close to the E cam but not roller.

are youre heads 2V or 4V?

moneys no object i get a free 588 dollars every 2 weeks and only thing i have to spoend it in is groceries once a month, im going with the performer RPm air gap and im thinkin afr 185s? but its the cam and rockers/ lifters etc i dont know

your right there. but i do have experience, just not as much as you people who have there licence.

Ive only been to it 3 times.

so you are right and wrong. at the same time.
