Help asap!!!!!

i have a chance to get a 302 out of an 84 lincoln to drop in my 85 coupe for like $150...its been wrecked but the motor seems to be in decent shape...basically i want to know if the 84 302 is a good motor to build? any help would be appreciated...thanks guys

1984. . . . your wasting your time. The motor is a flat tappet junk motor and even if you just want it for the block the main webbing is weaker i believe than that of a roller block(which is already drilled for the spyder)

thanks for the help mang, what years should i be looking for? im sure the EFI motors will be decent but if i see something pre 86 what if anything will be ok? again, thanks for the help....
not all pre 86 blocks are bad! actually if you can find a 69-74 block that would be GREAT! they are the strongest out there and are worthing having machining costs

'87 up EFI engines are plentiful, I'd recommend one of those since they already have roller cams and decent heads (for stock). If you are really planning on doing a full buildup from a bare block, then an early block like Modular2v suggested would work fine.
