Well here is the problem the glass seperated from the curtain, two questions is it attached on both sides of the glass or just the inside? Also i got quoted almost 600 bones for the part and labor, can i put this part on myself how much of the outer top has to come apart, and is it worth replacing just the glass section without doing the rest? thanks for the help Dan :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

mine started to seperate on the out side awhile ago i just add some super gule at it stoped haven't ever had a problem with rain, I would see if you can reatach it your self at least for the time being, also a new top and install is usealy around 500, but there is someone on here who just installed a top them self so it can be done might be somthing to look into

Mine detached along the entire bottom it was just chillin there this morn when i went to drive the car, i glued it together the best i could for now and went ahead and ordered the curtain, hopefully it will hold till i get the part in, anyone who has swapped this before and knows the procedure please let me know, it can't be that hard i have done headliners and such before so hopefully i do not get
:owned: thanks Dan

You got a 600 dollar quote for a new top, new back glass, and labor, or just the new top and labor? If it is just for a new top and labor, then yes, that is about right. I paid $900 for a new top, rear glass, and labor. Putting on a convertible top isn't the easiest thing to do. It takes a professional about 3 hours to put a new top on. Plus, you don't have to worry about anything getting screwed up because those guys will eat it.

I got a 600 dollar quote for the glass curtain and labor, my top is fine, just the glass took a 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me', the glass curtain can not be that hard to install from what i have heard you only have to release the back of the top, One thing is for sure i am not paying 600 bucks for something that costs a third of that i can screw up three times and still be where i was.... If anyone has done just the glass please let me know what problems you ran into thanx dan

This happened to me this past summer, I was quoted $550 for the glass and the labor, the reason its so much is that the little peice of the top underneath the glass is heat pressed to the glass, and so its supposed to be one peice. Instead I took it to a local body shop and they used some sort of glue and fixed it for like $75, they said it was a temp fix but its still together with no problems and saved me a ton of money

Anytime anything convetible top related breaks, it seems to be a ton of money to repair. I can knoda see why, that stuff is a PIA to work on. I would say try to come up with soem sort of fix yourself, and if that doesn't do the trick then just shell out the bones to get it fixed.
