I was having lots of idle issues, hunting, bucking when crusing at low speeds, high idle most of the time and a 500rpm surge when shifting at lower rpms. Above 4500 it would'nt surge as far as I could tell.

I did all the items on the idle check list twice and I ended up with a steady idle around 800 rpm but when I let of the gas and put the car in neutral, moving or stopped the idle sticks at 1500rpm for ~20sec and then slowly comes back down to the steady idle. The 500rpm surge is still there when shifting.

Alright, the setup:

Powerdyne 6psi
Powerpipe
Greddy Type R valve (all the way closed and breather is blocked off)
Full Mac exhaust, no cats
smog pump delete, as far as I can tell the rest of the emissions stuff is there
Trick flow lower and upper intake
stock heads/cam
msd 6al
msd boost timing master
C&L 76mm maf (part of the problem?)
Fenderwell cai with elbow in front of maf (part of the problem?)
30#injector and 255lph fuel pump
Dyno tune
Breather on valve cover
stock pcv setup other than that.

All the above done by the previous owner. I have only had it a couple of weeks.

I'm assuming running the bypass valve would help the surge.

I know alot of people don't like the C&L, esp. with a supercharger. When I unplug it the idle comes down alot faster. What is the best MAF setup for a s/c? Blowthru? Cone directly in front of maf? I really don't care what I use as long as it works.

I also had to adjust the TPS with the car running at idle because that reading is higher than when engine is off. Any comments on that?

Sorry about the long post.

Thanks.
