im 19 college student and working,and i'm confused weather to get a 94/95 GT or a 96+GT
i have about 3300 to spend. i was thinking should i spend 2k on a 94/95 and the rest on mods or 2.5k on 96+GT with few to spend on mods?
It will obviously be my DD, im a little worried about mpg, i would love 25+.
or should i just go with a v6? help me. im like a little kid in a candy shop, i dont know what to pick..

Get the v8! Take your time to learn how to drive it safely. Especially in the rain.

Please don't get a V6 Mustang, especially of those years.

I would save a little more and get a 99+. They can be had fairly cheap nowadays. Find one that's already been tastefully modded and you won't have to drop extra money to achieve that.

I bought my car with a throttle body/plenum, exhaust, CAI, and wheels. Basic necessities already done

and be ready to spend some cash on the body / paint. A 2K mustang doesnt get you much, but they sure are FUN!

My opinion is if it's going to be a daily driver, forget body and paint unless you can do it yourself. It's going to get beat up anyways.

1300 for mods will get you a quick and great sounding car with a 5.0. Nice cam and replace timing chain, pushrods, lifters while you're there. Or save up for the on3 turbo kit. My friend had one on a stock 5.0 and it was quick. Although I won't recommend it on a lowered car. The pipes hung so low that you will scrape a lot even on a stock height car.

I think if you bought a 96-98 GT you will be disappointed with it performance wise. They have potential but it's expensive.

FYI any $2k Mustang will need an easy $2k in repair/maintenance to truly make it reliable and mod-ready.
