Help me find Nitto DR's

I am looking into getting a killer set of 18" 2000 Cobra rims , and at the same time of course u[grading my tires, but I want to go with some Nitto 555r's out back. The problem is that they only make them in a 315/40/18 and correct me if Im wrong but that wont fit out back will it? Too wide right? does anyone know where I can get some 18" Nitto DR's that will fit out back?

My 275 are like a 1/4" away form my tailpipes, and theres some rub marks on my pipes too.

Nitto has a new size out, its a 305 series. Its the same diameter as the ZO6 tires. Go their site and look it up...

tire rack Those are for the Lightnings. It would be way tall and wouldnet fit. BFGoodrich makes some drag radials for 18 inch wheels. They make 275/35/18, 295/35/18, and 315/30/18. I think the 275/35/18 would probably be the best tire for those wheels and your car. Here is a link to check em out

305-35-18 They are a little more than a 1/2" taller than our stockers which isn't bad. I was planning on running them.

well after looking on their site I found a 285 which I guess would be a closer fit without rubbing, but it is only sold online through discount tire and they are on backorder PLUS they are $305 A TIRE !!!!

I checked out those BF's and they are defintly alot cheaper almost 125 bucks cheaper but how do they fare against the nitto's?

BF's wear out MUCH quicker than the nittos. Nitto doesn't make a 285 DR.

On the contrary my friend on the nittotire.com website they have the new 555rII and it has a 305/??/18 and a 285/??/18....check out the prices and sizes section inder the 555r2....

You'd think I'd notice it since I put the damn link up to the DR tire sizes... you are right and that 285 looks like it'd be a better fit in terms of tire height etc. That's what I'd get if I were you. The R2 is the road race tire jfyi.

BTW -Is anyone running a set of RII's around here? I do enough auto-x and only see about 5K miles a year in the stang, I think this will be my next set of tires. Just hope the 275/40 17's fit my 17x8's!
