I am looking to buy some 18x9 wheels for my 99 gt. The place I want to purchase my wheels has a deal if I get tires with them. He told me 245/40-18 in front and 275/35-18 in back are the ideal size. Is this true? The front size seems too small. Help with this please.

The car in my avatar has 18x9's, is lowered almost 2 inches and has a Saleen front bumper. I run 275/35's all the way around and have no rubbing. That way I can rotate my tires and it doesnt seem to grab the ruts in the road like the car in my sig does. If you want the staggered look with narrower tires in front then the 245 is okay, but it is taller than the 275 by about a quarter inch. Hope this helps. :nice:

I'd put atleast a 255 on the front. If I were to get tires that size, it would be 275 front and over 300 in the back.

i'm with mogs, yeah a 245 will fit, but it looks like trash imo. i have a friend that has 245's on a 9" rims & hate the way the tire looks on it. at least get 255, but a 275 really feels out the front :nice: i have 275 all the way around, but i might be getting new rims with 10.5 out back & 315's will be in the back :nice:
