Do you need my PayPal address?

:p J/K man. Depends on what goals you have for the car. If you plan to get a huge amount of power out of it .... skip the Cobra / Explorer intakes, GT40 heads, & stuff like that. If you want some decent power & know you won't be re-doing stuff later on down the road ..... then do this stuff.

I just don't see any reasoning behind spending money to do something .... then turning around & upgrading it later on. Chances are, you won't be able to get all of your $$ back out of the old stuff.

The "budget" combo's aren't for everyone .... and neither are the "higher end" combo's. You just have to decide what you ultimately want out of the car & go from there. I know it's a tough decision .... because you want power NOW. But consider the future ......

My bad. I guess I could have said "get a 150 shot & call it a day", lol.

Looking back on the way I modded my old '95 ..... I don't want that to happen to anyone else. I lost so much money in that car due to the constant changing of combos. I'm doing it right the 1st time on my '94, though.

now we are talkin. listen to this the man speaketh the truth.:nice:

no, i here ya about wastin the money. some stuff that you could use now and still grow with you are suspension and brakes. you can never have too much brake.

use the search function, there is alot of good info on here. like justin said, you will be much better off financially if you have a blue-print of what you want and stick to that.

heres what i was thinking, i foudn a explorer intake for 125, and gt40 heads for 310 shipped. the heads are bare. what all do i need for the heads. Will i ahve enough to do this.

you would be better off buying some P heads from http://www.tristatecylinderhead.com

they can be had for $450 assembled. $310 bare is real high imo, after all you will need valves, springs, retainers, etc... to the tune of at least $250.

i have a set of GT40's assembled i would sell for $200--if you can pick them up in kansas city.

if i payed for shipping and gave u 200 would u do that, or even i could give u 250 and shipping if shipping aint to bad
what kinda condition they in
sorry man i don't ship stuff, and by the time you cleaned mine up and paid shipping you could have a set of P heads from tri state.

well, i am thinking bout getting the gt40p heads, should i get hardened pushrods and 1.7 rockers. Where can i get some 1.7 pedestal mount rockers. cause thats what the heads are. Also if i get these heads and get my lower ported or get a gt40 intake, how much hp will i be increaseing and also will i need bigger injectors and stuff like that. i wont have enough money for a throttle body or anything right now but later on i plan to get 24 lb injectors, a 70 mm throttle body and a 75 mm mass air. would this be ok.

There are plenty of guys who have spent less than $1,000 on P head combos and got 270-300RWHP. If you want to spend the extra $1,000 plus to get over 300RWHP then by all means, do. That Explorer intake for $125 was a steal.

I like power for cheap myself.......but that's just me.........

i would have to get headers for teh p heads also wouldnt i. I think i might have enough to get the heads, headers, and intake. I was also thinking maybe i could get my stock intake ported. Cause there is a guy aruond here that does the lower and the upper, he cuts the upper in half and weld it back together. but he said he can make it outflow a cobra intake. I think it would be around the same price but flow better than the explorer. Also where can i get the p headers. And tmoss where did u get your 1.7 rockers for the gt40p. I looked but couldnt find them. Also are your gt40p stock heads or are they worked a little. Id like to see your numbers out of my car.

My heads were converted to 7/16" stud, so I use stud mount rockers and Isky adjustable guides. They also have Manley 1.85"/1.55" undercut stem race valves. No porting as they were run in NMRA F/S class.
