ok, i am installing a custom cam. I have ported e7's. I would like to install new 1.6 roller rocker arms. I really need to know if i need to install roller rocker arms or can i just install the factory rocker arms with the custom cam specs are listed below. i understand i have pedestal rocker arms and i can simply install new pedestal roller rocker arms, but can i also install 5/16- to 3/8-inch studs with pushrod guideplates and hardened pushrods and install 3/8 in stud mount roller rocker arms is it that simple or am i missing something?

LSA: 114

I would just get a set of trunnion style 1.6 bolt down rockers. I wouldn't recommend the type that use the spherical "ball" or whatever its called. If you want to convert to stud mount I'm pretty sure it would require machine work on the heads. I'm not aware of any type of conversion stud for doing this.

Yes ... you can have them modified to accept stud rockers :)
but
Is it worth it

To me ... its all about the best value :Word:
or
Most performance per dollar spent

I just can't see sinking a lot of money in old technology iron heads

You may have a way to do all that stuff to those iron heads
and not have much money in them
