help on swaping harnesses

i have an 88 lx with 302 i purchased it half completed with a homemade t60 single turbo build i have a new harness with mass air that i am installing but not sure the previous owner had a 98 cobra mass air unit can i just modify the cliip to a new style and adapt this unit to the harness that i have i think the harness is out of a 89 or 90 mass air car.........help

so the car came with a 4.6 maf? if it did, to keep it youll have to have it tuned, they make a pigtail that plugs the newer eec5 plug to the eec4 plug. its pretty cheap as well..

i am not sure how to tell what harness it is i know through tracing the wires from the computer plug that the harness has a mass air set up and the plug is diffrent then the actual sensor the guy had in the pile of parts i took home i know the sensor is from a 98 cobra so your saying there is an adapter to use the cobra sensor
