HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wheel loose

My wheel is loose once I get the car off the ground it has some play I checked the lug nuts and they were good I torqued them at 100ftlbs they were tight. I have eibach pro kit springs and eibach shocks and struts along with mm ccplates anyone have any Ideas. I did put on 18" rims and 235/75/18's.

So the hub is moving with the wheel when you shake it? Does it move up and down or side to side?

I'd get a look behind it. Could be bad wheel bearings (you'd hear those big time particularly when cornering). Could be ball joints (they wouldn't make to much noise). Are the bolts at the base of the strut tight? (retorque)
Is the tie rod also moving?

Is it the whole spindle that moves or is the wheel moving on the spindle?

I would jack it up, grab the wheel top and bottom and see how much movement you get that way (Ball Joints, loose strut mount bolts maybe).

Grab the wheel left side and right side and see how much movement you get that way (Tie rod ends or rack)

If you can get someone else to do those movements while you get a look behind the wheel, I think you'll see exactly what's going on. Block the car up good. Just using a jack without stands is like puttin' you head in a lions mouth.

Since you said you torqued to 100 lb/ft, if you shake it while looking at the lug nuts, you won't see the wheel moving on the studs. It will appear as if it was one unit.

Movement up/down could be because the rims u got may not be hubcentric, so you may need hubcentric rings. Movement side to side, what others mentioned.

I agree they should be hubcentric but with 100 lb/ft of torque, I don't think you would be able to move them by hand. They would then become lug centric, not as safe but usable.

Thanks for the ideas. I took it to my ford dealer it was my two bolts on the strut. They torqued them then alighned it, now Im good to go.

Nope $25 Half price . my service manager takes care of me. He took car of me too with my transmission problems.

If you look at the hub on your car, it has a ring that protrudes out in the center. The wheel has a recess that receives the ring and centers the wheel and supports it so it doesn't have to rely on the lug nuts to center and hold the wheel in place.

If you do rely on the lugs and don't have the protruding ring, it's lugcentric
