i just finished putting together the motor a few nights ago. liast night i ran it and it did worse then i though it would. i got a 14.6 at 104. the things that were already dont to the car before i started it were the mass air upgrade with the a9p computer. and bbk headers with bigger exhust all the way back no cats but turbo mufflers. the new stuff that i just put in were the e303 cam, edelbrock performer intake, 1.6 ford racing roller rockers, trick flow valve springs, 24lb fuel injectors, bbk cold air intake, kirban fuel pressure regulator, and a pro-m mass air cal for 24lb injectors. i am still using the stock mass air right now though because the pro-m didnt work right it would not idle but the stock one will. the fuel pressure is set to 36lb with the vaccume tube on and the timing is set to 12. is there something that i need to tune in better or do i just need a different intake. i was thinking about the edelbrock rpm. the car already bogs off the line but then really kicks in about 2500 rpms im just lost and dont know what to do next any help would be nice thanks

i went to the track for the first time EVER 2 weeks ago and was able to pull a 14.5 at 97 mph with a 2.4 60 ft. what were your 60's? why do you have the 24# with the stock maf. im no expert, but that cant be good.

Well the cam / intake match fine, there are huuuunnnddreds of 5.0s around the country with that combo.

If your MAF is not matched to the injector size you are running, THAT IS A PROBLEM. Either put the correct MAF back in, or put the 19s back in...

You say the new MAF didnt work, what do you mean? Describe the symptoms and perhaps we can help....

The fuel pressure is off *i think*.... seems to me like its only supposed to be like 30 with the vacuum hooked up, but its been awhile since I did mine, I could be wrong. Check the manual.

If you dont have a good manual with vacuum and wiring diagrams, then you should go buy one, you will need it about a million times over the years.

If the maf or pressure are causing it to run ritch, that could be the cause of your bog and then run like an ape up top syndrome. Your trap speed is a solid mid 13 sec (or better) / 290 wheel hp time.

i ajusted the fuel pressure and i gained power and the car dont jurk back and work going down the road anymore. i just need to know what everyone have there spark timing set to. and with the mass air the reason im not using it is because i did the same thing on the car before i even did anything to it all i had were the 24lb injectors and some other small things. i called the new company for the pro-m and they said that i would have to send it the them for a recalibration. thanks everyone you have been a big help so far!!!
