Help With Exhaust

thats expensive. if you have simple hand tools and a jack you can install your own exhaust system. heck I installed my headers in about 30 mins the x pipe in about an hour and the custom cat back in 2 hours just need to do new tail pipes.

I forgot about the tail pipes. I may just pay for it and be done with it. just don't want to screw anything up. I'm sure it it is simple but I'm sure I will find a way to mess something up. no welding involved?

No welding when you go with kits. I think a nice carted mid pipe and a good cat back would give you some more performance and a better sound.

So I am thinking keep stock mid pipe and cats, and go with either:

1 - Replace cat backs altogether
2 - Leave stock cat backs and change muffler

Any advice on brand? Again, I used to have American Thunder Flowmasters and I thought they sounded pretty good.

I have a Flowmaster American Thunder on my '92, still has cats. (I would LOVE to get rid of them, but no go in CA. ) It sounds pretty good to me, not too loud. It certainly gives it a more throaty sound than stock. I know a lot of people would probably think its not loud enough, but I'm not the obnoxious type. It of course was bolt on, no welding needed.

Nice. I may reconsider doing away with the catalytic converters due to the smell.

I'm thinking of just changing the mufflers to Super 40 and leave everything else alone. any thoughts?

If I owned your car I'd just throw a cat back system on it and call it a day. I've had Ultraflows,Flowmasters,and Walker stock replacements(long,long time ago). I'd probably go Ultra's but I like Flows also
