On my 01 gt, I've been using a Superchips max tuner 1725. I've changed the tune a few times. REcently I programmed it back to 87 octane settings to go through emissions testings. All seemed fine. Then last night I wanted to reprogram back to 91 octane settings and the damb thing won't let me. I've walked away from it twice and tried I don't know how many times. I keep getting error type 10, contact superchips. It's like it thinks my cars not the original one programmed. Anyone had the same problem? Help.
I have emailed superchips but no reply yet.

Have you tried resetting the PCM without the tune invoked?

I dissconnected the battery for 10 minutes. Is that what you mean? I can't reinstall the original Ford program even.

Why don't you do what it tells you and contact Superchips?

Edit: Oh... you did... never mind

You have no option whatsoever to load the stock program? I thought all aftermarket chips allowed this?

The Programmer gets vin locked. So it will only work on one car at a time. It's acting like my car is not the one its vin locked on.
I just hope I won't have to go to a Ford dealer to have my computer reprogrammed. The way it is now, I can't reprogram it with anything.

Where did you get the tuner? Did you buy it new?

Bought it new last year, from a local speed shop.
