help with trans leak after aod swap please

I installed a new tremec, i reused my aod speedo gear housing, and it is leaking out of it bad, Are the manual and auto ones different?? thank you..

When I swapped from Tremec to AOD, I used mine but swapped the gear and never had a problem. Might want to check the seal on the housing.

Yeah, the aod speedo gear is longer than the t5 one. If you are reusing the same gear the thing won't seat properly. You can trim the aod one to fit, but I don't remember how much you need to cut. You could probably do it by trial and error.

SO on a AOD to T-5 swap, i can reuse the same screw and speedo housing? I know i need to change to a T-5 speedo gear.

I put in a t-5 gear, i think the o ring didn't seal,, I just didn't know if it was different....
