...if you run a Max Motorsports torque arm on the rear, do you have to run the panhard rod also?

Cuz a very wise person told me that once ya put the panhard rod on, the exhaust clearance sucks.

Thanks,
DD

They DO require a panhard bar ( a real one too, not some flimsy eBay special. It is very much structural with this kit) and yes, the exhaust clearance is horrid.

Price you pay to go fast...er i mean go around a corner.

We have done a few and yes you need to run their pan hard bar. Yes the exhaust clearance sucks on the right rear tailpipe unless you run stock or Borla ( which is smaller than stock ) cat back kits. Also depending on which kit you have there may be clearance issues with the cat to catback flanges. Any good exhaust shop should be able to fix these things. The panhard bar works well for launch and anti dive on hard braking.

Thanks guys... I have the bassani X too so I have even more stuff to modify according to the install instructions.
It does look like a pretty nice piece though.
One side bonus to only having 3.08s, they say Im good to over 500lb/ft of torque, before I even come close to breaking it.
I do have to get new rear springs though, they say it will understeer after install if I dont change them... cuz the rear will now hook way better than the front.

You guys think if I heat and flatten a spot or two on the tailpipe it will help? Or how about if I go to an exhaust exit like a 66-67 Chevelle: with the 45 down angle right behind the rear wheel, better clearance may-be?
