This is in regardes to blowing/breaking/cracking cats.
Just cracked the pass. side cat in 1/2 on my L

Who thinks after market catted mid pipes can handle high HP engines ?

Im thinking of ditching the cats on my Cobra and buy a O/R version.
I don't want to do this twice.

Opinion and coments please

how much power do you plan on making?

300-400-500-600-700-800-900-1500?

o/r pipes make more power and sound better IMO...

O/R pipe make about 2 or 3 more HP than a high flow catted pipe. Unless your talking about a 600+ wrhp car.

Im running 479rwhp my question is will my high flow cats last?

i had a cheap BBK catted h-pipe on a 515rwhp 377 stroker with no problems...had it on there for 3 years

i'm sure the cats will last if they are a good brand...unless you bottom them out often
