High RPM rattle

I drive a 97' Mustang GT, 56,000 kms. When I'm driving down the highway I accelerate fully, pedal floored. After about 4000 rpm, a rattling noise comes from the engine area, and it seems like I get no power or acceleration after 4000 rpm, the needles move really slow (even in 3rd gear). Is my clutch slipping? It makes the rattling sound with the clutch in (after 4000 rpm), not being in gear.

I first thought something was screwed up with my exhaust because it kinda only made this noise when I shifted fast and it sounded like it came from the rear. I thought it all started from a hard bottom out from a dip in the road, going too fast. I dunno, anyone know what might be wrong with my stang?

You definately have detonation problems. If you continue to drive it while it does that you WILL cause engine damage!! Have you done anything else in the last while? Here's a couple of ideas:
1)you may have dented your gas tank when you bottomed out and it's causing fuel starvation at high rpm
2)you may have ripped out your oxygen sensors or their wiring when you bottomed out

good luck
