Its not about a mustang but I thought it was funny and figured some of you may get a kick out of it. I just did a Keisler Tremec TKO600 conversion on a 70 vette for a customer. The car is pretty nice, has a ton of suspension work and a nicely (or so I thought) set up motor. Its a small block and its got Edelbrock heads cam and intake. The thing was a DOG, idled rough as hell, bucked like a bronco at cruising speed and just plain sucked. It was also a very rough starter. So I checked the timing and was turning the knob up and up and up and up and the mark wasn't showing up on the balancer. So I cranked it to 65* and it still had about 8* to go! And this is base timing with the advanced disconnected! I've seen cars at 35-38 but never at 70+. I couldn't believe it was running at that! It's now at 16* and runs like a champ. My only guess is someone timed it by ear. I just don't understand some people:nono::nono:
