After seeing to many threads here on stangent of peoples aftermarket hoods flying up ( somtimes on more then one accasion) Ive decided that when my aftermarket hood goes on ( when I get around to buying it ) that its deff getting some hood pins. For around $35 its worth the invesment to save your hood and windshield. I really like the hood pins that have the wire that from the top of the hood pin and then goes under the hood in the front, if any of you have those kind on your stang then Id like to see it b/c I really like that look alot.

I can't help with a pic as I'm running the captured pin style, but $35? Damn Travis, you getting them made out of gold? I gave $20 for my Sparcos and overpaid.

The ones out of Summit w/ the cables are either $30 or $35, I figured that was a decent price.

Must be the cable then. I've never bothered to price them but Summit is usually pretty competitive so that's probably not a bad price.

Yeah, well she costs considerably more than the hood pins. And no matter how much I pay, the debt never seems to get smaller . I guess it's a small price for a gal who puts up with my bs and offers to pose on the car.

I have a similar mod, and it is also my most expensive. Just don't tell her that the reason you can't put the doughnut on is because you previously removed the spare and jack in a weight reduction effort to help make up for her because she's always in the car. Guess who's never lived that joke down?

And hoodpins are awesome. I have debated several times picking up a set and then my anti-ricer self kicks in and slaps me around. Stock hood.

like Epikk said, there is really no functional point to having hoodpins on a stock hood, especially since my car is basically a grocery getter. It kills me when I see a Civic SI with a fart cannon and cold air intake only with hoodpins. As for an aftermarket hood, I wouldn't dream of running one without pins.

Ohhhhhhhh ok, I get you now, just read it wrong. Yeah I agree, stock hood w/ hood pins = Teh Gay . I see to many people on here w/ there hoods flying up b/c they dont have hood pins so theres no way Id dream of spending the kind of $$ on a hood and then having it runined and possibly your windshield too.

Still no pics yet of the FMS hood pins w/ the cables
