Hood pins: Yes or No???

here is HPlouis's car, 95 Cobra with hood pins on a cowl with the wires, loooks sickk as helll!!! i wanted then after seeing these pics...

i put the pins in the same exact hole as the bump stops on each side.

here is a tip:

take a round file and round out those hole, then weld a nut onto the panel and screw the pin into it when finished. To keep it from twisting, use a second nut as a jam nut against the nut welded to the car. Thats the best i could come up with and it is durable as hell. I'll get some pics for ya though. This positions the pins exactly where mine are in the pic. They aren't as close together as that black stang above.

Hood pins are CHEAP insurance! Every aftermarket hood should have them.

I didn't run them and my hood came up at 45mph and destroyed my car....run hood pins with a aftermarket hood period.
