Ah, the ol' snowball effect. Don't know anything about it, but makes me feel better watching others experience it.

I do think you could have sold your rotating assembly in favor of a 408 set up, but that's here nor there.

It’s far from perfect. There’s trash in the paint everywhere. It looks amazing from 5’. But, I’m no pro and it looks about like you’d expect a garage job to look. It’s going to get scratched up over time anyway, it’s just better than it was.

Run in the clear?
On a frame rail?
That calls for a complete repaint.

Unless you plan on showing the car, no one will notice it when you randomly pop the hood to show whats under it. Sand the run down and polish it and be good to go.

Sometimes, I find novel ideas for cool parts and I am happy to pay for them. I bought a complete accessory bracket set from Speed Doctor aka Aaron Price for $360 and am tickled pink.

I am now looking for K member spacers and scuff guards for CC plates and the prices on these things are not commensurate with the novelty. SO... I'm going to try and find some aluminum stock to make spacers and get crafty on the CC plate spacers with some scuff pads for furniture to keep from messing up my paint on the shock towers. Once I get this figured out Ill slowly start the reassembly process.

Also, engine parts should be getting powder this week, possibly even today!

$21 for some 1” aluminum stock. Enough to make a set of K member spacers for me and a set to sell.

The bandsaw in the wood shop cut the aluminum like butter. Need to drill some holes and start putting the front end back together.
