Progress Thread Hoopty v2.0 - It All Snowballed

Here's what I spent about 20 hours on this weekend, about 40 hours total. I'm sincerely hoping that the guy who commissioned it doesn't have an absolute heart attack at the labor bill but it should cover any and all parts needed to finish the car and probably the bronco too, while we're at it. Also, I have a bar to build next that might be a transmission yet. While all this is great news, it prevents me from working on the car so its a double edged sword.

Love that chair! Great rounded over edges and nice looking joinery!

What is the the style called? Will the seat be upholstered?

Just WOW!
Nicely finished! What did you finish the wood with?

Did you do the upholstery as well?

I've got a garage full of woodworking tools. Currently have a late 50's vintage PM 60 apart in the garage for a rebuild / repaint.
Sorry, I missed this - The finish is Rubio Monocoat and this was my first whack at upholstery, overall not too bad.

I've done a poor job of updating lately. Havent had long stretches of time to do a lot of work. Transmission is in, the engine bay is all but done.
I have a lot of parts inbound ahead of the weekend in an attempt to make it run Saturday before leaving on a spring break trip.

Needs:
Fluids, spark plugs, some vacuum lines, water hose, belt, fan installed, battery relocate installed, fabricate and X pipe, install a fan, install vent lines and tank. I think thats about it. Its close!
Havent decided between stock mechanical fan or the Taurus fan. Thoughts?

Looking good. Fan choices are many so ill give my two cents, I've had the black magic fan that pulls 3400 cm on my fox for 18+ years now,and I daily the :poo: out of it(316000 miles) so it was worth every dollar paid.

With the mechanical fan make sure the fan clutch is in good shape and you have the stock fan shroud. Taurus fans work great and again I would go with a DCC controller.

I run a Griffin big two core aluminum rad and Mark VIII in one car and a Fluidyne 3 core aluminum rad with a Mark VIII in the other. Both required trimming about 5/8” off the depth of the fan shroud but I have enough clearance.

I went electric to reduce drag on the motors and I’ve never had an issue with the stock fans unless the clutch was going out or the air deflector under the car was missing.
