Progress Thread Hoopty v2.0 - It All Snowballed

Alright, we are square, within a 1/16”

I was trying to get the control arms in yesterday and they were about an 1/8" too wide to fit in the UPR K member. It also looks like one of the bushings can be pushed inboard some more so hopefully thats the answer if I can find a press this evening.

I put a couple layers of masking tape on the bottom of the CC plate spacers in hopes it will prevent tearing up the tops of the strut towers, at least for now. I’ll buy the scuff plates eventually. My plan is to get the car on the ground tonight so I can drop the motor in tomorrow.

I rented a ball joint press to squeeze the bushings in so the A arms are now in as well.

So one of my goals for the year is to grow the YT channel into an income source for FO money (car parts, etc.). I've been trying to do better with editing and I've made a few changes that seem to be helping greatly. Need to keep forcing myself to learn BUT this latest video is doing VERY well, for me at least. I'm just really excited and dont have many people to talk to about it.

I think there are 2 kinds of videos, to inform and to entertain. ALL of mine so far have been to inform (here's how I did ____ ) and I have an idea rolling around for an entertain type video that I want to do but I cant do it until I get a few other tasks out of the way. I need to cut some pine trees down in the back yard and I want to take the wood and build a timber frame trebuchet using the sawmill to cut the timbers and launch flaming watermelons.
Assuming that does well, I want to do a Colin-Furze-style underground man cave under my shop, LOL

Have you done any machining on the head and block deck?!?... Screams a red flag to me it should be done, also flagging the bad info in the forum about pulling the spout to set base timing is what you do with a STOCK ECU!!!... It is nice to have it set like that BEFORE installing the MEGASQUIRT... With that being said, following the timing settings in ignition is SOOOOOOOOOOO IMPORTANT MAN OMG, needs to be spot on especially with that Turbo... Please Google it and follow it to the letter and NEVER remove the spout if it is MEGASQUIRT MS2DIYPNP ONLY....

Hopefully using the Ford gasket and bolt kit every time you change it... But I understand your frustrations, DO A COMPRESSION TEST before even running it also, GAP the plugs for BOOST!!!...

Keep us informed, KILLER CAR MAN.... Wish all mine were that clean... I need MORE GARAGE ahahahahahhaha

I really enjoy your videos, but I'll tell you the one channel I will watch every single one of his videos from start to finish is https://www.youtube.com/@ChrisSullivan69/videos even his ad reads. Just be authentic like Chris and you'll grow your channel, you have a good personality as well so I think you'll attract eyeballs that way easily.

I've been slowly screwing stuff back together, about out of runway as far as what I can do without certain parts. I think I need about $120 to make it run and another $1k to get it driving - including the trans rebuild.
Some of y'all know my woodworking enterprise is what supports the funding for these projects so I'm going to have to throw the cover on the car for a while and knock out some of my back log of stuff and drum up some cash. Latest YT vid is lightyears better than normal, but even then its not substantial dollars... yet.

@Noobz347 would the fox and bronco videos Collin has made be candidates for stangnettv ?

It would but I can't separate those from the others.

What I [can] do is setup the channel without the RSS feed however, Collin would have to remember to come in and post his videos there vs. the auto-feed in the other channels.

I need to think on this a bit because it may not be too important that the channel is solely dedicated to Stangs.
However, that is not a distinction I would extend to non-members. Next thing I know Bob Villa wants a channel here.
