Alright guys.. Here's the outcome from last night.
I raced a few cars and here's the outcome:
Me VS 2003 SRT-4:
The kid COULD NOT drive a stick and grinded through every single gear.. I actually felt bad for the car because all I heard was the gears grinding.. Not even a grind where you say "oops" it sounded like he was doing it on purpose. I launched hard, everything was hitting perfectly and I had the car sitting before the race so it was nice and cool before we ran.. I let it sit for about 15 minutes to warm up a little in the parking lot and drove it 3 miles to where we race.. So I'm guessing that helped my car a little before the race. I did a mild burnout before launching and it was great. I beat the kid, collected my $100 and drove away happy. I went back to the parking lot where everyone meets and the kid started talking trash and then went home.. One win for the 'Stang.
Me VS 1997 SVT Cobra:
You guys know the outcome so I don't need to explain. I lost by 3 car lengths.. If I had a better launch I'm gunna say maybe 2 car lengths. This race was just for fun and the kid and I didn't bet any money.. But damn.. Nice cobra
Now what pissed me off:
Me VS 1997 GSX Eclipse VS Civic Hatchback:
We lined up, I smoked the tires a lil' as usual then when the light turned green I flew outta the hole.. Had a good car length on the two and kept the gas down hard.. I wasn't gunna go easy on 2 ricers.. Then all of a sudden this eclipse goes by me and gains atleast 2 car lengths. The civic is still dragging a tractor behind us . Then I notice the finish line is coming up and the eclipse was winning. I LOST to a ****ing eclipse.. A eclipse without a turbo.. A eclipse with just headers.. No, correction.. It was a ****ing 4cyl.. It has A [AS IN ONE] header. It had a cat-back exhaust and a cold air intake..
I ended up losing $50 to the kid.
Now what pisses me off is that I was gunna buy a 1997 eclipse instead of my mustang that I have now after I totalled my v6.. But I thought.. **** that.. I'm a pure blooded american boy..
We don't toy with people.. We don't hide.. We wanna kick someones ass? We do it.. We don't send anthrax in the mail and hide.. We walk up to someone and stab them in the face. We don't drive 4cylinder cars because we're more concerned about gas milage than horsepower. We drive our big 5.0L v8's and play on the cool summer nights.
And now I quote our army:
"The Beach Boys, American pie, and the 1967 Ford Mustang... Three things worth fighting for" - U.S. Army Slogan.
Now I ask you guys.. What's going on here? I lost? I launched perfectly and the car performed well even. I got beat.. By a little car that I almost baught. I'm highly disappointed and ****.. Enough to the point where lately I've been thinking about selling my mustang and buying a VR6 Jetta or a 3000GT VR4.
help me out guys.. What's going wrong here?
