I guess the sn95 axle/MVP rotors would work perfectly with a Cougar.

Why can't you use the Mazda rotor with the brackets you have? Are you afraid the center bore is too large on the Mazda rotor? Actually, those rotors are 7 hole and one slot

Once the wheel is bolted up to the axle the rotor should be strong. I think i have seen some aftermarket rotors with 10 holes to fit 2 different 5 lug configurations.... And I know I have seen wheels like that as well.
