How do I get a job in the automakers union BUILDING MUSTANGS!!!!!!!

Hey guys, Its always been a dream of mine to work on mustangs......detail mustangs....drive mustangs, And especially build mustangs. Anybody have any idea who to contact to see if there were any postions avalible in the michigan plant where they actually build the mustang??? And if there where any special qualifications to get into the plant. Any info would be appreciated. Thank in advance.

Not the best time to look for a job in the automative industry - especially if you want to join the union. Unions are on their way out, hopefully, as they make the industries in America less competitive and more expensive. People should be paid more because of skills/qualification, not because of collective bargaining, harassment, and litigation.

Its going to be pretty hard to get a job with Ford at all. My half sister just took a buy out not too long ago and wokred at the Mustang plant a her husband works on the prototypes.

couldn't have said it any better. the union is one huge reason why this great state of michigan is falling on it's face right now. finding a good long lasting job at any of the big three automakers is damn near impossible right now. :nonono:

Yep, I worked for GM when I lived in Detroit still. Those jobs were few and far between even back in the early 2000s when I was there. My whole department got outsourced.
