How do I install rocker arms on my Twisted Wedge heads??

Ive done it on a stock motor but never before with aftermarket stuff. They are Trickflow Twisted Wedge heads which are stud mount I guess? How do I put them on, what do I torque them to... do I need to lube anything up.... Let me know.

IIRC the studs are to be torqued to 21ft/lbs with some oil on the threads.

Now for the rockers, drop them on studs, then put the fulcrum nut over top of them. Pick a cylinder to set the lash on and turn the motor over until you see the intake valve start to open. Now as you're turning the pushrod with your hand, tighten down the nut until there you start to feel resistance to turning the pushrod. You can also do it by pulling the pushrod up and down until it will no longer move up and down. You're now at zero lash, you need to tighten the nut 1/4-1/2 turn more, then lock it into place with the locking nut on top. Turn the crank over until the valve you just set begins to open, and the other should be fully closed. Do the same for this next valve, then move on to the next cylinder. Don't worry if you don't get it right the first time, it took me like 8 times to do it (but it was 3 in the morning, lol). Good luck!

You do NOT torque down stud mount rockers. Since you're familiar with rocker setting, instead of torqueing, find 0 lash, then go another 1/4-1/2 turn and lock the poly lock. This is also a good time to check pushrod length. I'll assume you did what most TW guys do and picked up a 6.7" pushrod? While you're there, check it by coloring the valve tip with marker and setting that rocker and rotating the engine twice. Then remove the rocker and check the geometry. You want it in the middle and less than .080" patch I believe

Just the studs are torqued, not the actual rockers. Maybe I was unclear about that?

Oh and FWIW, I used TFS 6.750" pushrods, that's what TFS website called for, and they work just fine. But it can't hurt to check either.

The pushrods I have were used with the heads /rockers that I bought from Vib so I would think they are the right size. Do these have to be tightened again after XX miles?

After you do some heat cycles on the engine then pop the covers and tighten the head bolts and recheck the rockers.

I was always told 1/2 to 3/4 turn. I usually go a 1/2 turn on mine.
