well 1st i would start off with some sub-frame connectors, i would stiffen my chasses as best i could. if you have a good budget i would check out maximum motorsports/stedda or other and check the suspension packages. stiffer springs, probably energy suspension bushings, new front and rear sway bars, upgrade my brakes, and cant forget some good rubber for the road. and maybe get your car on a diet.
well thats just a thought and all i could come up with for now.

oh yeah and more power, that never fails-unless you cant get it to the ground.

With the mods you have, you should be killing them as it is?

Yea...seems you have a good suspension setup as it is. Not to sound rude, but the best thing would be for you to learn how to drive in the "twisties".

Your suspension seems good enough. I would work on stiffening the chasis and my driving techniques. You should be good to go!

It is better to be slow into the corner and fast out, than fast in (overdriving the corner) and slow out. Exit speed will dictate straightaway speed ( no matter how short the straightaway) more than anything else.

Try to lighten the car as much as possible. They have the ability to brake later and carry through the corner faster. Larger brakes will let you brake later... good rubber too. The KYB shocks aren't know for being the best but there are other areas you can improve first. A pan hard bar to tighten up the rear will give you some confidence in the corners. Relocating the battery to the trunk will effectively redistribute some more weight to the rear(which is greatly needed). As stated above some upgraded sway bars and replace the old tired... probably rotted rubber bushings. Stiffer springs may help but along with the shocks, there are other areas which can give you a better foundation to work and judge off of if needing replaceing. Short of coil overs and a 5 link... there are a few tricks but your biggest edge is your torque when you come out of a turn. Wider tires i forgot to mention before too.

What he said, and driving technique. Throttle steer is nascars drifting, a controlled loose condition. We learn it in Chicago in order to drive in the winter, but you can keep a well handling car on the edge of out of control, and have it pointed where you want it just past an apex, and accelerate real early on exit. Watch Dukes of Hazzard movie, heavy-ass Charger going around that circle. Best example I've seen. You already have great tools, put em to work!

strut tower brace, k-member brace, you can also use a 96-98 cobra rear sway bar to help a little bit. get some poly end-links for the front sway bar, the sway bar itself and the steering rack. replace front control arm and rear lca bushings with some delrin bushings, the hardes non metal bushings you can find, if you dont mind the noise of course.
I would highly recommend welding up your torque boxes all the way around, since they are only tac welded from the factory.
NEVER, absolutely never upgrade your rear lower control arms with out at least welding up your torque boxes. I was witness to a car with the same lca as you that just tore the s#!% out his passenger side, and costed him a good bundle to repair.
dont forget a good driver, and some driving gloves are needed to take full advantage of any type of suspension. good luck!

I didn't read where you said the hoduh was modded. That aside... you shouldn't need anything at all. Even a stock Stang will do it. He might be quicker in the turns but the power and torque difference should more than make up for it if the driver is worth a crap.

what tires are you running?? You gotta be able to plant that thing to the road or all the suspension parts in the world wont help. And then learn your cars limits and by all means don't push em. We don't want to see a thread " Wrecked my stang while racing a civic"!!

Never get out of the apex of the curve maybe? You should be able to rip the civic easily especially with those being fwd they will push alot generally when coming out of the curve if they accelerate to early unlike your car you just might need a little countersteer .

Get enough HP where you can let em go through the twisties and then blow their doors off in the straights????

A good suspension setup is key, but you can't compete with shaving 1000 pounds of weight off the car.

What kind of tires are you running? Don't expect to make a Mustang handle just because you have some suspension parts on it. Get some good gripping tires and that'll change everything. Also get a good amount of camber dialed in on the front tires so they grip harder, that'll let you charge the corners a little harder without oversteering as much. Also a strut tower brace and the shock brace for the trunk will help, not to mention a 6 point roll cage. It just depends on what you have to spend if you really wanna win.

converting everything to polyeurothane bushings made a BIG difference for me. and my rubber ones were still in good shape.

sounds like you shuold be able to take them now. but if you need more i suggest subframe connectors. they helped my car out allot. get those, and some new rubber. a fresh alignment and have at it. i think you could pull it off.

specs of this civic would help also
