I'm getting some afr 165s with the upgraded springs. I've got 1.7rrs and a cam with 544 intake lift. I'm not hitting the valves now so will I be alright after the heads? My engine is an 87 and my cars an 88. What should I do? Thanks

Anthony

Duration has more to do with p/v clearance then lift does. Max lift happens when the pistons way down in the cylinder, so it doesn't matter what the max lift is. AFR recommends staying under 230 degrees duration @ .050. I ran a XE274E Comp (over 230 degrees, don't remember the exact numbers), and it didn't hit. Would have been best to check with clay before you bolted everything up. Good luck! :nice:
