how do i tell if i have a cracked head?

right right, well im pulling it apart here soon. theres a possiblitiy its the intake still(well in my mind) maybe i will see an obvious leak when i remove it. right now i cant do much but take it apart and go from there. the heads were checked with a feeler gauge only, since you asked earlier.

Thank you for answering my ?. there is your problem!! the heads where not checked correctally. the feeler gauge method will not varify hi and lo spots across the surface of the heads. they would in no way be able to veryify this because they cannot see under the head while it's sitting on the table they can only tell the some what if it's flat. you only need a very minor low spot like between the very thin area of the cylinders and it will not seal. with the amount of smoke coming out of your tail pipes...headgaskets are not sealed. don't take this the wrong way but you 1/2 azzed the process by cheaping out on getting your heads trued and checked out. It very well could be the intake but I don't know seems like alot of smoke to me. pull the heads I bet you will some nice clean cylinders which will tell what area didn't seal, also the gasket itself may clue you in. hopefully isn't nothing big but I'm not holding my breath.
