i have been told i have a cobra mass air is there a part number on the black plate that tell me if it is for 19 lb or 24 lb injectors? I have been trying to fix an surging problem... thinking my mass air is wrong calibration... hopefully its not
thks

It's for neither one. If it's a Cobra mass air meter then it's got the stock FORD meter output that all the other ones do. If you use that meter with an A9L then you will need to use 19 lb injectors or have the meter calibrated for the injectors you're going to use or have a custom chip burned to make use of injectors larger than 30 lbs. If you use it with a Cobra computer then you will need to use 24 lb injectors.

The point here is that meter is not what determines the injector size. ALL of Ford's meters are clibrated to basically the same standard and output. There are minor differences between part number etc. but those are not intentional (excluding whatever new foolishness they came up with for 05 cars). Ford does not "calibrate" their meters for a specific sized injector. Those calibrations are made through the EEC.

I thought he wanted to know the size of the meter he had... A simple ruler can determine that.

1 inch = 25.4 milimeters.

A Factory stock meter from 89-93 would be 55mm in diameter.

A Cobra meter would be 70mm in diameter.
