I did a 5 lug conversion on my 86 Mustang. I put 245/45/17 all the way around and I have tire rub on the fenderwell. The tires rub when I turn the wheel to the right. The driver side tire rubs on the front of the tire towards the outside of the fenderwell, towards the lug nut side of the wheel. The passenger side tire rubs completely opposite. It rubs on the inside of the tire, a few inches from the swaybar.
I was thinking I could take a dremel and file some of the inner fenderwell down a bit so I do not get rub. What have you guys done to make it so your tires do not rub? I have no problems with having to roll the fenders.
Has anyone taken their inner fenderwell off and then made changes to it, or have you left it on the car and worked with it?
