How fast can I safely turn off OD?

I feel like a post whore with all these posts I'm making but I can't seem to find better answers then here and the search tool sucks. I got my tranny rebuilt. Turns out the shop that installed the shift kit installed it all wrong (hence why it blew after only 2 weeks). We are filing a complaint against them to either get my money back for the shift kit install or for them to pay for the tranny rebuild. If they do neither we're pressing charges. Anyways, the shop that rebuilt the tranny fixed the shift kit and made sure it was all done right this time. What I heard is that if you have a shift kit, shifting into OD at WOT will kill the band. Whats the fastest you can be going to safely turn off the OD? And can you turn it off under normal acceleration? Thanks all for dealing with my neverending questions :nonono:

well its a 3 speed with over drive right? Redline in third is the max before going into overdrive. Im not really understanding your question.

If its broke, why drive it?

Its definitely fun driving around the highway with the OD off :D . My question was, if I am driving around with the OD turned off and I wanna turn it on, whats the fastest I can go while safely turning it on the OD?

Turning "on" the OD, should just allow the trans to upshift from 3rd to 4th, and allow the torque converter to lock up, no? That should be OK at any speed because if it is not appropriate, the trans simply would not do it.
