Are 1.7 Rollers a good idea if you plan on keeping a stock cam? What about with a blower car? I am doing all the cheap things I can right now, and this had popped into my head over the last few days. I do however plan on a h/c/i after highschool, but thats over a year away. THanks

Dave - if you're gonna be swapping h/c/i later anyway, I'd wait til then to make a rocker selection. They will probably help a bit with your current set up -- but I personally don't think they're worth the trouble if you're gonna change the other stuff later.

I agree 100%, when you go to that cam later it would be better to go larger on the cam and stay with a 1.6 rocker.

IN the process of my build it was amazing how limited my cam choices were because of the 1.7 rockers. Very few companies make grinds with them in mind. The biggest problem is the additional lift (approx .30") that the 1.7's give you.

Schlodes: the best way to avoid all those customs duties is to make a friend in the States (Detroit is the closest) and send everything there. Go over and pick it up and bring it across a little at a time. You might have to forget *cough* to mention the parts to the friendly customs agent. Got all my parts for my 331 over there and brought them over.
