my car is falling apart. A/c compressor, balancer, belt, and my tranny bangs second. almost like i have a shift kit and i don't, so i am pretty sure that i am going to have to replace that too. this all started going on right after my car went over 100,000. whats the deal with that. is that what happens to mustangs. well atleast she made it this far i guess.

almost makes me think about finsihing school and getting a real job. Then getting a crappy house and destoy it and building a 5 car garage with a loft, so i can live there and have a nice spot for my car.

I bought mine with 123,000 on it, and drove it from san Diego to Boise, Idaho. Everything worked fine except the A/C, but the clutch was on its last legs.

Cars usually will start having things go wrong after 100k, so this shouldn't be unexpected. Also, why would you build a 5 car garage for your one car?

I'm at 95,000-something right now. I've had plenty go array and need replacing already. If it isn't mileage, it's time that wears stuff out. Unfortunately, the time factor seems to be rougher on most of the stuff.

Just hit the 99,000 mark. I am thinking the tranny is about due to be replaced. It works smooth still but it sure does whine a lot now. The rear view mirror just popped off the windshield too. Overall though the car is in good shape for its age and the abuse it has seen since I've bought it 35,000 miles ago.

144500 here... so far i have done the WP, need to do the clutch, and jsut a lot of gernal stuff, like my doors need to be re-pinned, the door internals are loose, stuff like that....

BUT I have put 20k on this car and not done too much yet...

i hit the 100,000 mile mark last summer. coincidently my odometer stopped at 99,999....kinda funny.

my 95 still runs strong with no problems. replaced the clutch last summer along with the quadrant and cable. replaced the rear main as well ( wasnt even leaking bad at all ). new plugs 2 summers ago. T5 is getting a little whiny but still shifts just fine. no smoke but uses about 1/2 quart every 3000.

the only 'problems' ive had is snapping 2 clutch cables :bang:

I've had 7 5.0 Mustangs, ranging from 72K miles all the way to 240K miles... The funny thing is, my two highest mileage cars (95 w/240K, and 85 w/180K) were in nicer condition than some of my ~130K cars. .... Anyway, I will never pay the price for a low mileage Mustang, since high mileage ones can be just as good. :nice:

I'm at about 97000 miles, and alot of crucial parts are still original, such as the fuel pump, water pump, distributor, TFI module, clutch linkage, driver's side tie rod ends, struts and shocks, and calpiers. Good thing there's upgraded aftermarket parts for almost everything that breaks on our cars. I've been lucky so far, nothing expensive broke yet. I'm thinking one or two of my injectors are starting to go south, but I don't want to buy a new set of 19#ers. Whats the best fuel injector cleaner you guys have used? (Can't find seafoam anywhere around here)

A/C still blasts ice cold though, and motor burns no oil whatsoever :D

well im at 107k right now. my balancer went out right at 100k. My conv. top started to rip around 103K, had that replaced for $1000. Currently my a/c doesnt blow cold, t/o bearing squeaks loudly (off topic but should i just take this to a tranny shop and let them fix it?), passenger side window comes down with a thud (how would i fix this?) ohh yeah and when i stand outside, next to the drivers side fender, i can hear a loud clicking sort of noise. what would cause that? this problem started about a month ago...... besides that my car is great:D

im like the guy above me except my balancer went maybe just a few thousand miles earlier, hehe. i got about 106 almost 107k, i think my king cobra clutch already has 25k miles on it and its feelin like shiet again, tranny is feeling pretty shietty too i kinda wanna do those at the same time if one does fail, so well see how the they hold up.

Looks like I have the highest mileage so far. And I've only put about 5K miles on it in the year & a half that I've owned it.

I agree with you Diablo .... there's really no point in payin' the extra $$$ for a low mileage car. That is ... unless it has like 30K or less. Just my opinion.

I've got 137K on mine and while the motor only has about 10K on it the trans is still the stock T-5 and it has never been touched. And that is with multiple nitrous passes on slicks at the track. I am beginning to believe that I have one of the strongest T-5's out there. Everything else still seems to work fine too. But there again alot of it has been replaced in the quest for lower E/T's not because it failed. My stock motor is still running in another vehicle with over 200K on it!

:D my mom drove mine for its first 80,000 miles. Im at 135000 right now. Needless to say shes in great shape since it was babied for so long. What really pisses me off is the electrical gremlins. I have the old school a9l spliced into my harness and a 1000 watt stereo amp so i'll get cutouts and weird **** every once a while. Never had the engine opened up either. I love my car...:SNSign:
