How many quarts of tranny fluid?

I am going to change out the fluid in my T-5. Does anybody remember how many quarts I need? I am going to put in some royal purple.

i think 2 or 2.5 qts

Just leave the top fill plug open and fill the tranny through the shifters til it runs out.

Mike is right. i thought the book said 2.6, but i could be thinking liters. in any case, get three quarts and you should be to go.
