How many run without spare tire and jack in car?

Just get some wood to put over the hole :nice:

The reason for removing is weight reduction. adding a piece of wood , adds weight back.
I can't show you better numbers without it but I remove at the track. Also run on 1/4 tank of gas. Any weight you can reduce can help times. :D

pssh my spare is actually another 17 inch rim exactly like mine ( got from a friend with a 98 GT who replaced rims)

When i went to the track, i took it out

but while driving around, i always have it :)

gee whiz...im not saying put a huge ass piece of wood. just maybe some plywood or something light. And also you dont have to cover the entire hole, just the middle of it so if you put something in the trunk, it wont fall in causing deformation to the hard part of the carpet

Just pull all the carpet out too. If you have a vert youll be glad for every extra inch of trunk space!!

I had my spare out for a while, but its in again now. Make sure you at least have a can of fix-a-flat and a mobile phone if you run without a spare.

I don't have mine either !

1st with my speaker box , I don't have access to it so I carry a small compressor, tire mesh & antiflat spray.

Never had to use it yet but hopefully it will do the trick when I'll be on the side of the road.

Oh one more thing. My car is so low that the factory jack doesn't fit anyway,I need ramps to be able to stick any type of jack under it..
