how much could i get for my car after we fix it up nice?

88 lx, auto, 2.3 4 cyl.
we paid 300 becasue they thought the tranny was shot. we just replaced the tranny filter and new fluid.
body is in good condition some minor dents, interior is in pretty good shape. sort of faded.

we plan to paint it, my dad was in autobody for 20 years, we will just need to get paint and supplies and paint it ourselves. Its red now and we'll re do the paint red.

probably pony wheels also. get the car to run real solid.


so how much will a badass paint job, solid running 4 cyl, with an auto and cleaned up interior bring in.
We plan to have this car really slick looking.

My dad was thinking around 2000$
How much do you guys think?

Why are you so concerned about reselling the car? You mention it in all your threads. Why don't you just sell it and buy whatever it is that you really want?

i dont want to sell it now. I'm learning tons from just fixing this car, i just got into cars recently and i love fixing it up.

Plus it wouldnt sell for much now and we will want a halfway decent 5.0 when we try and buy one.

you would be pressed to get 2k unless it ran like a top and was real straight. $1500 is more reasonable for that model car......just my $.02
