after going to the local dirt track and watchin the 4 banger class i was surprised to see no one had a mustang out there when talkin to a few of the drivers and the GIRL who won about there cars which were mostly all chevy cavaliers.
They all said mustangs are to heavy and couldnt keep up wiht them cars how much does a mutang weigh? i mean all gutted,glass everything out of it might just have to build one out of the notch and show them ..

Last time I went to the local dirt track (granted this was a few years ago), it was dominated by 2.3's. Almost everyone in the class was running an older Fox mustang (four eye cars) or a Pinto. There were only maybe 2 guys that were running Chevies (can't remember if they were chevettes or vegas)

I'm betting fully gutted you could get one down to 2250 or so. That assumes you don't have a rollcage. With a cage and such maybe 2400.
