How much HP/TQ to get front wheels 3 inchs off ground

Anyone on the board have one that can or know how much hp/tq/suspension mods needed? Just wondering

I know someone with an almost stock 2001 GT (nothing major other than gears, exhaust, struts and TB ) with slicks and he's making about 240 rwhp. He gets his tires an inch off the ground when he's hooking up. He has aftermarket axles and rear end as well though, and launches hard.

That car must be light as hell and be taking a 6k launch to get the tires up with that much hp.

It's not horsepower or torque that pulls the front end up. It's suspension, load, gear ratios and how hard the clutch will bite. With a 90/10 and a 50/50, slicks and a 3.73, you should be able to come pretty close with a 6k launch.

Its not so much of a how much hp/tq thing than it is suspension. Without the right suspension, the front tires wont come off the ground unless your making an insane amount of power.

sorry for the double post about the suspension... Joes was typing his at the same time as me, just got done a little quicker
