I was wondering how much hp do you guys think that I will make with this combo? its a 347 stroker with vic jr heads, comp cams 282hr, 1.6roller rockers , 80mm mass air,42lbs injectors, track heat intake, mac long tubes, 75mm tbody, a 5 speed, and 373 gears how much at the tire do you think that I will make?

That should do around 375rwhp. What compression? Is this the combo you have or are you just thinking about building it? If not, i'll help you make more with better parts

I appreciate it grn92 I have these parts I bought a short block from a buddy that wasjust done he did forged crank rods and pistons it has the compcams xe282hr cam in it and I have2 set of heads that I can useI have box stock vic jrs and I have a set of fully ported and polished performer heads that I am thinking about using cause they flow more then the vics and I canstill use my emissions with them. what would you change to get more hp? I have flat top pistons in the block now he told me it has 10.5 to 1 compression but according to my desktop dyno it has 11:1. I just want the hp that my car had with the charger and heads without having to worry about blowing it up I would like 450 to the wheels if thats possible

Yo..

I would use the victor jr's hands down. A old school set of performer heads just don't compare. You will need to change the valve springs though.

I would use a holley manifold for this application. If you had steeper gears, i'd recommend a victor or a tfs R. I also recommend a custom cam, but that comp 282 will probably make good power.

Let an engine builder calculate your compression given your EXACT specs. Head cc, piston cc, deck height, gasket thickness ect. Rick 91GT on here might be able to help.

Check this link to give you an idea what victor jr's can do in a n/a pump gas 347 in a 94GT http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2005/02/YellowFever/

Keep the PMS, its an awesome unit. I run one in my sled.

Victor jr's hands down over your performers! Unless you flowed each head at the same time on the SAME bench, you can not compare flow numbers.

As far as emissions goes, victor jr's don't have any smog ports but the smog tech probably won't even notice. Most shops will test anything and if it passes, you're good to go. Or do an under the table inspection, cost a few bicks more but you don't need to worry about passing then

Fwiw, my friends stock 90GT with LT's and an o/r H pipe passes NYS emissions just fine on the sniffer.

Smog pump is gone, but egr is still there.

I just hate the sound of a catted pipe so I only run offroad Cops shouldn't bother you unless you're being a dick.

I really just dont wanna put my charger back on I want to have some sort of reliabilty without worrying bought popping headgasket again
