I am pulling my 5.0 from my 94 mustang to make room for my new drivetrain. 408w with stand alone ecu, tko600 trans mission, aluminum driveshaft, and detroit truetrak diff with 3.73 gears.

So now I have a 5.0 with the stock t5 with full wire harness here. The engine was still pulling hard with only a bit of an oil leak out of the rear seal. The assembly had 145,000km (about 90,000miles) on it. I want to get it out of the garage and I have some interest in it but I don't know what good price is for this. Any ideas??

your best bet is to sell it local or pick-up only. with things that heavy your sales region is limited to the area around you. your best bet is local classified, and local car club forums.

I've seen harnesses go for $200, T5's can go for as much as $400 and the engine could be as much as $600. Driveshaft isn't really going to be worth much at all and you might be able to get 50 for the original carrier.

Honestly I'd offer you about 500 bucks cash for all of that.

Hey Moose,

Up here, north of the border, you can usually get a few more bucks for your parts, as they're a little harder to come by.

Find a kid with a V6, sell the whole package for 700-900 bucks.

If you can't find a kid with a V6, post a kijiji ad for your area and make sure you put in the ad "perfect for a V6 to V8" swap.

xrd8302...that is an excellent idea. I forgot how easy I was to manipulate when I was just a young lad with a v6 mustang. Thanks for the ball park numbers guys.
