what do you folks do to fix the tire rubbing on the fenders when putting a k member on. they are stock wheels and rub up front when i turn. i was going to cut some of the inner edge off the front part of the fender.

I'd have begun by going with a K-member that did not move the position of my wheels. I'm not sure why the majority of k-member makers even do that. There's only a small percentage of folks who actually do road race.

I suppose you could run a smaller profile tire.

You beat me to it...and damn near word for word!

There seem to be far to many people that are misinformed about aftermarket k-members. Or perhaps the aftermarket are a bit to vague in their part descriptions…or maybe just a combination of both.

Either way, rolling the fender may be the only solve at this point….but perhaps others that have this issue will chime in.

not sure what kind it is, it has no markings on it. i got it from a parts car. i am going to keep the wheels and tires i got on it now. if i can't get it to fit without rubbing then out it comes for the stock one again and it will be sold or junked.

yes it is rubbing on the fiberglass pieces and that was what i was going to use the sawsall on. i have 50 series tires all the way around the car on pony wheels.

My tires are sooooo close right now with 245/45/17's, I'd never beable to move the wheel 1/4 inch forward with a k-member. Only other thing you can do is get 91-93 fenders and extentions, which give more clearance.

I would also suggest 91-93 Fenders and Extensions and some Rack Limiters.

My car is a 93. The fenders are only different at the peak of the wheel well. I used a 3 inch pneumatic cut off wheel. Took about 1 minute on each side. I will probly buy some fiberglassing stuff and patch the holes in the inner fender someday...

rack limiters won't work because i can barely turn the wheel before they rub. i have to keep backing up until i get it the direction i want to go. the coilovers and k member really lowered the front and it looks pimp as hell.
