How to install twEECer to PCM?

I took off the kick panel, and there are 3 plugs right in front of the PCM. do these have to be unplugged and out of the way for the PCM to come out? The instructions that came with the twEECer suck hard. What does the actual twEECer plug into? I see an aluminum box, with some sort of module plugged into it, then the module has the 60pin harness coming off it. I'm kinda lost here.

I unplugged the 3 little things and unbolted the plate and moved it out of the way. Then woked out the eec (that silver box thing under the bracket and 3 things). You will have to un-do the bolt that holds the harness tight to the eec. It will not come out unless you do.

You will plug the tweecer into the j3 port, there should be a cover on one of the corners that pops off. CLEAN THE AREA VERY, VERY, VERY WELL. after getting all the grease out of this area, clean the "board" looking part with a q-tip and some alch. Then get a pencil and use the erraser end and rub the metal parts of the "Board" to get the coating of goo off. Then reclean with the q-tip and alch.

YOU HAVE TO CLEAN THE EEC EXTREAMLY WELL TO GET A GOOD CONTACT

The plastic thing that fits around the eec will not fit back on it with the tweecer intstalled, set the eec inplace after installing the harness and tightning the bolt. re-install the bracket and re-plug in the 3 plugs.

You may need to repeat cleaning the eec, you will know its not hooked up if the fuel pump or rad. fans run const.

I can't get those freaking plugs undone! I got the rear-most one unplugged, but the other two will not move at all. I can't even get them loose with a screwdriver.

Okay, after I get the plugs undone (which I haven't yet), what plate are you talking about that has to be removed? Is it the plastic thing that goes across the PCM? I see the 60pin connector, and the bolt that holds it on, but I don't really see a plate, unless it's that plastic piece that goes across the PCM. Is that it? How many bolts hold it in place? I only see one at the bottom right corner.

The plate I am talking about is the one that is actually holding the 3 plugs to it.

The hard plastic piece that holds the eec does have to be un bolted or at least enought to pull the eec out of it.

There are/were some realy good ins. on the http://eectuning.org/forums/index.php site in the FAQ section. They may be alittle more detailed than the ones I have given you so far.

you may have to do a search for it.

I searched on that website and couldn't find anything. I got the metal plate off, I undid the plastic thing, and I unbolted the bolt that holds the 60pin connector to the PCM. Now what? Does the connector just unplug from the PCM and then it should slide out? I tried pulling the PCM out, but the connector was in the way. I undid the bolt, but the plug still doesn't want to come undone. Is it one of those things where I just gotta keep working with it?

Never mind, I got it out. I didn't have to unplug those other two plugs. Now I just gotta clean the terminals and plug in the twEECer.

Yea I have it, but none of the pictures showed up. I got it installed, but now it doesn't run. I pulled the PCM out, and the tweecer was only half on (might have happened as I pulled out the PCM). Then I took the tweecer off, and it had a bunch of that goo still on the circuit board.

You gotta clean all the goo off for it to connect correctly. Also you should lay a strip of Duct tape to keep the Tweecer from moving on the PCM around because its not a tight fit or anything.
