and im not talking about using those cheap trees that hang from the mirror or the tiny circular peel the sticker and get that new car smell. Im lookin for the best way to just get a nice smell outta my 92 GT. what do you guys use??

Hmm, im not sure how to make a smell, but fabric cleaner and ozium sure get rid of a smell... I hear febreeze works, but i wont belive it..

If you have fabric seats you could take them out and fill your bathtub with new car smell freshner and lets your seats soak, I bet that would keep them smelling that way for some time...

they sell thsoe air freshener thingies in my mall, theylug into the cigarette lighter, and it has those metal sheets and it attracts all teh crap in the air. i've been in a few cars with them,a dn they dotn smell liek anything. nto good, not bad, jsut no smell!!

course, i cant justify spendign $30 on it jsut yet

sorry about the messed up typiung, im runnign otu the door as we speak

the lazy way, take it to the dealership for a good detailing. Talk nicely to the small chinese man that runs the shop, he'll do a good job. Learned that lesson myself!

Don't bring food into the car, ever. Whenever we have leftover food in a styrofoam box, it goes in the trunk. No eating, no smoking, no drinking (except water).

This is tried and proven. My spousal unit's car still smelled new after 3 years.

You and I think alike...to the T! Even the leftover food in the trunk! :D

My stang's an '03 and before I bought it it was a rental car and it still smells like new! I know that I wanted to get some of that stuff to keep the new car smell in it but that carp smelled no near to a new car smell. So I agree with propellerhead no food and smoking but I know that there HAS TO BE SOMETHING TO KEEP THE NEW CAR SMELL!

My car smelled awesome up until like a month ago, when I made and installed a fiberglass enclosure in the trunk for my sub, now my car just smells like fiberglass all the time, it kinda sucks, but I am getting used to the smell of fiberglass...
