I'm working on putting new window trim on some new doors i've got but they're power and not on the car....what part of the harness do i put power to so i can lower the windows? Also is it safe to just use a car battery for the power source?

Do you have your door panel removed? You can just loosen the three motor bolts and release the motor from the regulator gear and slide the window up and down by hand. Or just remove the motor all together, that is how I would do it.

Yea, that's actually much easier. Sometimes it's the simple ideas that fly right past me.

I like to use a battery charger as the
battery has enough
power to weld things if you short the
leads.
