Interior and Upholstery How to remove seatbelt torx screw

Can anyone provide some guidance on how to remove this torx screw for the rear seatbelt? It's at a very weird angle and an extension with pressure has no worked. Have also tried liquid wrench and WD40 with no luck. Next thought is heating the end of the screw because it's exposed underneath the car. Anything will help, thank you!

Never had a hard time pulling it out with a ratchet or a small impact driver.

Clean the threads with a wire brush and spray lub it, give it a few smacks with a hammer, a couple smacks on top too. Got a impact torks bit?

Yah, make sure the torx is seated well in the bolt and hit it with a impact.

I feel your pain - one of the rear screws in my vert wouldn't break loose no matter what I tried - heat, oil, impact, etc. I ended up breaking a couple torx sockets trying. I kinda cornered myself into trying to drill it out. I've not finished getting the whole thing out of there, but even after all of that an e-z-out didn't work either.

I have a bitch of a time with those same bolts. Impact, breaker bar, heat, welding on a nut, etc. Nothing worked. Must have busted 4-5 torx bits on these.

Eventually I had to cut the seatbelts off, drill out the spot welds and replace those panels. The only two bolts that have ever defeated me

If I recall correctly, a torx plus bit might fit the bolt better than a plain torx bit. Might be something to try if the bit keeps popping out.

My experience was the same as @LILCBRA and @Mustang5L5. Many broken quality snap-on bits, heat, penetrating oils, etc…. Nothing worked. I gave up.

Induction heater tool, the coilied kind until its bright red and manual impact with spare bits... There a bitch but I've all ways got them out that way

20V 1/2” impact would not move one in my buddy’s car. Switched to the ingersoll rand 1/2” air impact and it came right out.

I’ve seen some with under coating, rust, etc. on the threads under the car and if you don’t clean that off first they can seize up.

My air impact would just shatter my torx bits. I tried a few different brands.

Even welded a nut onto the bolt with a 3 foot breaker bar and that didn't budge it with a MAPP gas torch on the bottom side.

Only bolts to ever defeat me.

These were an amazing tool to work on my motorcycles and Mini Bikes when I was young.... All used philips head screws that no matter what you did you stripped out the heads unless you had one of these....
I believe alot of the Jap bikes used these to tighten the philips screws during assembly which is why they were so hard to remove.....

I just had to replace my seat belts as I assemble the rear qtr panel areas ( convertible)... I was worried after reading the horror stories on here...
Made sure I had the correct bit and put it on my 3 foot breaker bar and slowly loosened em up and removed them..... Got lucky I guess..
These torx bits can fool you... I have thought I had the correct size when after trying the next size up to find that the next size up was the correct bit...
